How does The Fable Crate work?
The Fable Crate is an Australian book box that works with local publishers to delivery exclusive Australian editions of newly released fantasy or special box books.
Should I do a regular subscription or wait for preorders?
Every month we have a limited amount of boxes and they often sell out quickly. If you are subscribed to any of our subscription plans, your spot is secured every month and you don’t need to worry about missing out on a box.
If you wait for preorders, you can pick and choose which themes you are interested in and don’t have payments automatically renewing. This does also mean that if the boxes sell out you may miss a chance to grab one.
What do we mean by themes?
Each month, we introduce a theme for the upcoming box, which will give you a hint as to what the book will be about or related to. The items in the box will all correlate with the theme.
What age is The Fable Crate suitable for?
Each box will feature a Young Adult or New Young Adult book so most of our titles are suitable for ages 14 and up.
Does The Fable Crate ship to my country?
We ship our boxes to many countries around the world!
The shipping fee is calculated at checkout and depends on your delivery address. You can check your country’s shipping rate when you add a product to your basket.
When are boxes shipped?
Boxes will be shipped around the 20th - 26th of the month.
Boxes will be tracked and should arrived within 7-10 days if in Australia or between 2-4 weeks if international.
How much does The Fable Crate cost?
The Fable Crate has two box choices:
- Fully Fabled - which costs $75 a month and includes a exclusive spray Hardback book
- Feather Fabled which costs $45 and includes the exclusive sprayed edge hardback book plus one item from the Fully Fabled box.
When will payments be due?
Subscription payments will be deducted on or around the 14th of the month BEFORE your box will be sent. For example payment for the March box will be due on the 14th February.
This applies to both box types.
If available preorders will be advertised for purchase on the 10th of the previous month.
What can I expect in The Fable Crate?
Each box will have one recently published exclusive edition of a Young Adult book with sprayed edges plus 4-6 specially curated items that are relevant to the month's theme.
How are the items in the box selected?
Items in every box are picked specifically for each theme.
Items may be custom or made for The Fable Crate by other small businesses.
Can I buy only the book?
Yes! We have a Feather Fabled box that includes the book plus one item from the box.
Can I buy an item from the box?
Most of the items are exclusively produced for the respective box and are not sold anywhere else. However, if any box items are available they will be added to our Fabled Finds shop .
Can I return or exchange the box I received?
No, once a box has shipped, we cannot accept a return and won’t be able to exchange it for another box.
My box is missing an item, what do I do?
Usually all of our parcels are monitored by weight before being shipped, to ensure that no items are missing.
In the unusual case that an item is actually not present in your box, please get in touch with us as soon as possible!
Can I change my delivery address?
You can change your address in your Account Page. Please make sure that your shipping address is always up to date!
If you have moved or made any changes to your address, you will need to update this in the address tab on your Account Page.
Subscriptions always renew on the 1st day of the previous box month and once your subscription has renewed, you won’t be able to change the address for that month’s order.
If you don’t change your address before the renewal date it will renew using your old address.
If you’re unsure about whether or not you’ve changed it correctly, please contact us and our team can double check so that we make sure your box will go to the correct location.
I am moving, will my shipping costs change?
Most likely they will – you can check your shipping rate at checkout.
If you have a subscription and move to a different country, you can simply change the address in the my account section and the new shipping rate will be applied at your next renewal.
